Inland, there are even more exciting sports and activities that are guaranteed to provide non-stop pulse-pumping fun and action. There are many government-approved adventure sports organizations and companies that offer a whole series of organized sporting and outdoor activities. Most importantly, these activities are guaranteed to be supervised by expert professional staff.

Thanks to the rugged landscapes and wilderness, Catalonia has a burgeoning active tourism industry. For the daring, the land calls out with the lure of a pure adrenalin rush. Prices vary from organizer to organizer. Here are a few general tips and rules-of-thumb, as well as cost estimates.

Usually, activity organizers offer package deals that cost about 12,000 pesetas per day, covering a weekend. The price often includes accommodations and meals.

For bungie jumping, a single jump usually costs around 2,000 pesetas, with additional jumps at half the price.

River sports like rafting and kayaking are best in the Pallars Jussa region, near the towns of Llavorsi and Sort up in the Pyrenees. A 15-kilometer stretch of whitewater rapids that would take 2 to 3 hours could cost anywhere from 4,000 to 5,000 pesetas.

Canyoning would cost from 4,000 to 6,000 pesetas depending on the difficulty and the route. That price includes a hired guide. It is generally a good idea to choose a day without rain to go canyoning.

Hiring quads for some exciting off-road running would usually cost about 1,400 pesetas every 15 minutes.

Cross-country skiing way up in the Pyrenees usually costs 3,000 pesetas for a 30 to 40 kilometer route.

Mountain trekking with a guide usually costs about 4,000 pesetas for a half-day adventure.

Horseback riding is a popular attraction in the Girona province. There is quite a number of riding clubs and stables, and prices are very reasonable, approximately 2,000 pesetas per hour.
