Hot Air Ballooning

The beautiful Girona outdoor scenery is even more wondrous when seen from the air. Unfortunately, ballooning can be quite costly, with prices running as high as 18,000 to 20,000 pesetas per person for a short flight of about a few hours. However, the views are well worth the cost. Some of the best areas to balloon over include Olot and its vocalnic zone, the Costa Brava coastline, Mount Montserrat, and the Pyrenees. Flights are available almost every day of the year, but the scenery is at its most breathtaking in the months of January and February. Visibility from the air is also best in the early morning.
